Teamwork in action! ALC students took on a puzzle challenge, collaborating, strategizing, and problem-solving together to achieve success—proof that every piece counts when we work as a team! It was a close race! #dpschools #DLALC
Networking + Volunteering = Career Skills! ALC students were out in the community gaining valuable experience while making a positive impact.
Tuesday night, the ALC kicked off the first Family Night of the year. Attendees enjoyed fall crafts, a delicious traditional wild rice hotdish, and Native American storytelling by Mike Swan. ALC staff are excited to continue strengthening connections with the community and families and are looking forward to the NEXT Family Night in DECEMBER!
DLHS/ALC American Indian Ed students interested in the health and sciences fields visited the White Earth Tribal and Community College for Mashkiki Maamiginan: A day of Indigenous Youth, Science, Health, and Medicine. Students participated in team building events, learned how to suture, and attended breakout sessions. This was a great experience for our students to learn about the world of health, science, and medicine in a unique way.
Thank you to WETCC, Medica, and the University of Minnesota Medical School for providing this fun experience!
