I have a passion for teaching, technology, and instructional design. My professional objectives include being a lifetime learner, and effectively sharing information to help others learn and achieve success on their own merit.
I was born in Minneapolis, and have lived in Minnesota my whole life. I lived in Cyrus, Minnesota for most of my childhood, but moved to Hawley and graduated from Hawley High School in 2001.
I have been teaching since 2007, and have been the Social Studies instructor for the Detroit Lakes Alternative Learning Center (ALC), in Detroit Lakes, MN, since 2012. In addition to teaching Social Studies, I have played numerous technology-related roles in the past, as well as presently for my current employer, the Detroit Lakes Public School District.
In August 2014, I married the love of my life Jackie. We live in Detroit Lakes with our dog and two cats and are currently remodeling our first home. My hobbies include fishing and boating on Minnesota's lakes, weight lifting, cooking, playing guitar and piano, singing, and recording music. I enjoy following current events and politics, and I am also an avid history and philosophy buff.
